It is with great honour we have received authorisation from Master Benxing Wang, a famous calligrapher, Chinese art scholar, to use his artwork for Chinese Commemoration Week. Master Wang has created an artwork with 'Chinese Commemoration Week' written in traditional Chinese calligraphy, also an official stamp design for the event to use. We would like to express our gratitude to Master Wang, and thank him for his great contribution and support for this event.

Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders

The Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders in Nanjing, China, stands as a solemn tribute to the hundreds of thousands who perished during the brutal invasion of 1937-1938. With its somber architecture and poignant exhibits, the hall offers visitors a harrowing glimpse into the atrocities committed by Japanese forces. Inside, photographs, documents, and personal belongings of the victims convey the magnitude of the tragedy. The Wall of Names lists thousands of known victims, ensuring each individual is remembered. Serving as a center for education and research, the hall promotes awareness and understanding of the massacre's historical significance. It also provides a space for healing and reconciliation, where survivors and descendants can find solace amidst collective remembrance. As a beacon of hope for peace and justice, the memorial hall reminds visitors of the importance of honoring the past and striving for a better future.

The Chinese Commemoration Week UK is very proud to have obtained support from the Memorial Hall.

We express our sincere gratitude to the East Henan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Museum for their support of the event. They have generously provided valuable historical photographs and evidence of wartime activities for our exhibition.

East Henan Anti-Japanese War Memorial Museum was established in 2016, located in Tuocheng County, Shangqiu City, Henan Province. The museum has always adhered to the purpose of remembering and inheriting the history of resistance against Japan. To date, it has collected over 10,000 items from the period of Japanese invasion, including helmets used by the National Revolutionary Army, large knives from the Northeast Anti-Japanese United Army, flags, documents, swords used by the Japanese invaders, bayonets, helmets, and various types of documents and photographs. Among these items are precious artifacts such as the flag raised upon the entry into Nanjing, newspapers reporting the massacre of hundreds in Nanjing, and documents related to the biological warfare conducted by the 100th Unit of the Kwantung Army and the Nanjing bacteriological warfare.
